The Power of the Ring...

Don’t forget your engagement ring at home... ever... especially if you're a girl, and you’re going to be in public at any point during said day. DO NOT DO IT!

So yesterday, well it was a hectic day. I had an early Dr.'s Appointment in Arlington, puppies that needed to go outside, and I should have left the house 20 minutes ago. I rushed through getting breakfast packed up, hurried the dogs outside, and then ran out the door to get to my appointment on time.

----> Side note: if you have dogs and live in an apartment, taking them outside has got to be the most inconvenient thing on the planet. I love my little demons (Maverick and Goose -- that’s right Top Gun Fan's, I got you) but they always want to dilly dally and unfortunately I have left no margin for error and my poor puppies are probably angry with me because I won’t let them sniff the grass or bark at that elderly woman's terrier...

ANWAYS, so i rush off to this appointment, which unbeknownst to me is in a hospital... and of course I have to maneuver through this crazy parking garage, to amazingly make it into the correct building and then ride the elevator till I can figure out which door is the right door.

I make it into the office with 2 minutes to spare... plop down on one of the couches to wait for my name to be called... and then I see it... the bare nakedness that is my left ring finger. Panic immediately sets in... and then I realize I have done the one thing an engaged woman should ever do... I left my ring on the bathroom counter. I am a blasphemer, a traitor to the engaged kind... dang it.

So of course my Dr. wants to see this ring, and i have to jerk my hand away in embarrassment as I tell her... i forgot it. The all-day my poor nakey finger was sad and lonely.

Yea, it's Yellow... No Big Deal!

Now it is back in its proper place, taking up space on my left ringer finger, like it should be.
Who knew that a ring could cause such a rukus.

  1. Seriously, my pup does the same exact thing! She has to sniff EVERY single blade of grass there is before coming back inside. I have to take her out about 10 minutes before I leave for work each day so she doesn't make me late with her nonsense!

And that is a super gorgeous ring on your finger. He did good!!
